Frank "Poncho" Sampedro - Les Paul Goldtop

"Poncho" Sampedro of Crazy Horse has for the most part used his 1952 Les Paul "Goldtop" since 1978.  It is a very early model with no serial number, an old Gibson logo, no neck binding and P-90 pickups.  The bridge and tailpiece have been replaced.

When asked about why he takes such a rare guitar out on the road, Sampedro replied:

"It was made for me.  It's so worn and trashed.  I play it every night."
